Health

Health

The public powers have an obligation, set out in the Constitution, to ensure the right to health by adopting any necessary preventive measures and preserving the proper running of the health provisions and services, as well as maintaining a public social security system that guarantees care and protection when needed.

That is what the Law says. Unfortunately, those strict obligations that affect a sphere as essential as health and physical well-being are not always met.

Poor diagnosis of professional diseases, unacknowledged work accidents, conflicts with private medical providers, people sent back to work without justification, actions by public organisms that infringe rights, deficient health care, provisions not granted, breaches of the rules for accident prevention and workers’ health protection, abusive presence of pollutants in our environment...there are many possibilities for conflict and we need expert professionals to defend the inalienable right to life and health.
